Building Sovereign Communities
of spiritually-aware, entrepreneurial, homeschooling families
I help people understand why they may want to homeschool, how to make homeschooling work for their family, how to raise happy kids who improve the world with their presence, and how to grow supportive communities.
I grew up in south-central Alaska, home- and un-schooling from fifth grade to a state university, with admission and academic scholarship to the honors program. While working in university administration, development and fundraising for small organizations, and various sales jobs, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. Since I was ten and read an article in my mother’s Ms magazine about the horrors of raising teenagers, I’ve been on a path of human development. Facilitating community development for thirty years, I’ve experienced the cultural differences between each state I’ve lived in: Alaska, Montana, Mississippi, Oregon and New York.
I spend my days working from home as a life insurance broker, growing agencies and developing agents, while homeschooling my nine year old. As with all good things, none of it is easy, but it's so worth it.
I can help you think about education in new ways, ecological ways, healthier ways so that you can make the best decisions for your family.
I can show you how to evaluate your values as a parent-educator and how to create a harmonious home for raising your children.
I can help you navigate the path you want to walk with your children, so that you have peace of mind.
Here’s how you can work with me.

“Megan's always been straightforward with me, sometimes we disagree but I can feel it always comes from a place of love, she always leaves it open for us to see things differently. I never feel like she's talking down to me and I always learn something.”
— Sammy
“I think Megan is one of the most virtuous people I've ever known. She really wants us to move to where she is yet she keeps connecting me with people far and wide.”
— Nicholas
“I love Megan’s vibe and it’s helped me see some things in a new light - the symbolism of seasonal changes in nature, and the beauty of community events that honor that. Her perspective is meaningful and beautiful and inspires awe and wonder.”
— Micaela
