Michaelmas Fall Festival
Begun as a harvest festival in the Middle Ages, our Michaelmas Fall Festival falls near the Autumn Equinox, and honors the archangel Michael, who is a a figure common to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. He is a symbol of good triumphing over evil, courage over cowardice. We mark this festival by noting the importance of facing our fears and strengthening our resolve to face the growing darkness.
Hosted at a local park pavilion. Bring a potluck item, whether savory or sweet.
Looking forward to sharing a shadow puppet play, a Pumpkin Skills Course, Donuts on a String, Sleeping Dragon, Cake Walk, corn husk doll making, jump-rope making, and more. (Dragon bread!)
Think a low key harvest-style celebration to kick off our school year.
$15 / family contribution to cover costs
